Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Connor O Mally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Mally comes into the arena with Dropkick Murphys - Rose Tattoo blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Connor O Mally!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Mally throws a right and a left that both miss.
O Mally lands a right hook to the body.
O Mally misses with a body kick.
Gracie takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gracie lands the left hand.
Gracie throws a right and a left that O Mally avoids nicely.
Gracie feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to O Mally's calf.
O Mally throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.
Gracie shoots in and drives through. O Mally sprawls well.
Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from O Mally.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from O Mally, right into the meat.
O Mally swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A combination from O Mally does no damage.
Gracie takes the fight into the clinch.

Gracie blocks a punch to the side of the head.
O Mally lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has O Mally pinned against the cage. O Mally gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
O Mally jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gracie connects with a body shot.
O Mally swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
O Mally bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from O Mally finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
O Mally is concentrating on defense, preventing Gracie from advancing position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but O Mally sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

O Mally throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
O Mally jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Connor O Mally is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. O Mally tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Mally manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie darts in and clinches O Mally up against the cage.
O Mally tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Gracie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

O Mally tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

O Mally is pressed up against the cage. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag O Mally down to the mat. O Mally avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Connor O Mally has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Gracie.

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Gracie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
O Mally gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gracie.

O Mally throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A less than humble Ryan Gracie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
