Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Thunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wilkinson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Overkill. Thunders comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ain't That A Kick In The Head by Dean Martin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Clay Wilkinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Thunders! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunders misses with an uppercut. Wilkinson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Thunders connects with a single shot there. Wilkinson throws a lazy head kick and Thunders counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Thunders ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wilkinson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thunders is trying to defend but Wilkinson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wilkinson wants to free his trapped foot but Thunders is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thunders wants to get back to his feet. Wilkinson wants to control but Thunders is keeping him busy. Wilkinson trying to mount his opponent but Thunders defends it. Wilkinson is trying to control the action in half guard but Thunders is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson wants to pass to mount but Thunders is defending the position. Wilkinson trying to control the action but Thunders is working from the bottom. Wilkinson is working for a submission of some sort.
Wilkinson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wilkinson is working hard here to advance position. Thunders tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wilkinson manages to move to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilkinson trying to control but Thunders is having none of it. Wilkinson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Thunders is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Thunders is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Wilkinson trying to control but Thunders is having none of it. Wilkinson has control of Thunders's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thunders regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Thunders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilkinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Thunders has his hands clasped together but Wilkinson breaks the hold and Thunders is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Wilkinson!
