The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paquiao cracks Rivaldo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rivaldo misses with a hook. Paquiao ducked under it nicely.
Rivaldo throws a right and a left that Paquiao avoids nicely.
Paquiao staying out of range there.
Paquiao throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Paquiao dodges the punch combination from Rivaldo.
Rivaldo misses with a hook. Paquiao ducked under it nicely.
Rivaldo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rivaldo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Paquiao.
Oooooh!!! Paquiao has knocked Rivaldo down with a huge combo! Paquiao steps away and waves a wobbly Rivaldo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Rivaldo is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Paquiao circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Rivaldo to the canvas! Rivaldo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Paquiao keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manuel Paquiao!
A determined Manuel Paquiao didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
