Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marshal Erickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Lang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshal Erickson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Lang! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Erickson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lang to the mat! Lang manages to get full guard. Erickson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lang is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lang has escaped and now he's on top! Erickson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lang stacks Erickson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lang! You can see the frustration on Erickson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Erickson tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Erickson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lang looks gassed! Erickson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Erickson wants to improve his position but Lang is controlling well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Erickson shoots for a takedown but Lang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Erickson keeps the fight on the outside. Erickson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lang as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshal Erickson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Erickson swats away the attempt to clinch by Lang. Lang tries to clinch but Erickson is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erickson has a takedown stuffed. Lang misses with a takedown and Erickson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Erickson passes to side control. Erickson tries to advance to mount but can't. Erickson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Erickson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lang, who protects the arm well. Erickson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Erickson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Erickson has hold of Lang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Erickson cranks the arm and Lang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
