Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Lepeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lepeaux comes to the cage accompanied by Where is my Mind?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roman Lepeaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brutus Nash!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash lands a jab to the head.

Lepeaux gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nash to score an easy takedown into full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lepeaux is controlling Nash's posture.
Lepeaux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nash trying to control the position from guard on top but Lepeaux is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lepeaux wants to sweep here but Nash controlling him for the moment.
Nash throws a big right hand that misses.
Lepeaux pulls Nash in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lepeaux thuds a left hand into Nash's body.
Nash rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lepeaux counters with a stiff right hand.

Lepeaux misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nash lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nash scores with a nice strike.
Lepeaux defending well as Nash loads up on a big left hand.
Nash dips to his left and cracks Lepeaux with an uppercut!
Nash throws a hook to the side of Lepeaux's head but Lepeaux sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nash throws a poor cross that misses
and Lepeaux counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nash swings for the body but Lepeaux moves out of range.
A jab lands there for Nash.
Lepeaux scores with a one two! Nash had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nash ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lepeaux slips a jab and a cross from Nash.
Nash misses with a shot to the body
and Lepeaux counters with a stiff right hand.
Lepeaux connects with a body shot that sends Nash's belly button to the back.
Nash keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nash falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lepeaux counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nash loads up on a big right hand but Lepeaux slips the punch.

Nash gets a takedown into half guard.
Lepeaux is looking to improve his position.

Lepeaux has a hand on Nash's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Nash takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nash can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lepeaux is looking to escape.

Nash is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lepeaux is surviving well by controlling Nash's body position as best he can.

Lepeaux can't escape the position.
Nash fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Nash goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lepeaux is on top in guard.

Nash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lepeaux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lepeaux wants to control from the top but Nash keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutus Nash dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Roman Lepeaux is winning the standup battle so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nash is defended easily by Lepeaux.
Roman Lepeaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutus Nash.
Nash misses with an uppercut. Lepeaux saw that one coming.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nash dives in and grabs Lepeaux's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lepeaux pushes down on Nash's head and hops out.

Nice uppercut there from Nash.

Lepeaux gets a clinch.
Lepeaux will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nash up against the cage.
Nash lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lepeaux or not.
Lepeaux working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Nash misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lepeaux tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nash just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lepeaux is looking to control Nash's arms but Nash gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lepeaux has his back to the cage.
Nash pushes Lepeaux back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nash goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lepeaux is pressed up against the cage. Nash has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lepeaux down to the mat. Lepeaux avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nash lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lepeaux is looking to wear down Nash with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Nash throws the left hand but Lepeaux avoids the punch easily.

Lepeaux fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nash looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roman Lepeaux dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
