Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Mandrake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandrake swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mandrake fails with the takedown

and Ferreira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mandrake's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mandrake wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Ferreira is now in half guard.

Ferreira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mandrake circles away quickly and effectively.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mandrake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mandrake wants to hold on but Ferreira pushes him away.

Ferreira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mandrake can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ferreira swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mandrake is now in Ferreira's guard. A big mistake from Ferreira there, giving up the dominant position!

Mandrake is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ferreira has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ferreira!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Ferreira throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ferreira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mandrake on his heels. He'll look to pass Mandrake's guard now, I'm sure.

Well Ferreira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
