Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kimbo Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthieu Renaud!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slice.

Renaud clinches.
Slice can't find room to land a body shot as Renaud controls the action.
A short left from Renaud.
Slice tries to pull guard but Renaud forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Renaud lands an elbow just above Slice 's eye.
Renaud lands a body punch.
Slice is breathing heavily.
Slice jumps guard but Renaud stands there with Slice around his waist. Slice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbo Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Renaud breaks the clinch.

Slice gets tackled into the cage by Renaud. Renaud maintains the clinch.

Renaud breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slice tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Renaud manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Renaud instigates a clinch.
Renaud comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Renaud landing knees to the head.


It looks like Kimbo Slice has been cut.
Renaud gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice tries to pull guard but Renaud forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Renaud pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Renaud moves into the clinch.
Slice wants to get back to striking at distance but Renaud won't allow it.
Nice elbow from Renaud.
Slice takes an elbow to the forehead.

Renaud breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slice moves in looking to clinch but Renaud pushes him off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Renaud lands an elbow that stopped Slice in his tracks for a moment.

Renaud escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matthieu Renaud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Renaud leaves Slice with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Renaud has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Renaud manages to break the clinch.

Renaud clinches up with Slice and pushes him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Renaud breaks from the clinch.

Renaud clinches.
Renaud unloads a knee to the mid-section. Slice lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Renaud breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Renaud feints a jab and as Slice dips his head, Renaud unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Slice right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Slice falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Renaud smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Matthieu Renaud!
After the fight, Matthieu Renaud was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
