Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marty Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, K O N Stone!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart tries to clinch but Stone is having none of it.
Stone moves into the clinch.
Stone jumps guard but Stewart stands there with Stone around his waist. Stone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stone should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Stone.
Stone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stewart gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Stewart breaks the clinch.
Stone clinches up against the cage.
Stewart scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like K O N Stone has been cut.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Stone has eaten all the pies!
Stewart throws a punch but it's blocked by Stone.
Stewart's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stewart throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stone with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stewart counters with a head kick that drops Stone to the mat! Stone scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Marty Stewart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of K O N Stone.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Stewart.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stewart stuffs the takedown.
Stewart misses with a looping left.
Stewart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stewart throws a head kick but Stone moves out of range.
Stone drives through and clinches with Stewart against the cage.
Stone tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stewart smiles and moves away.
Stewart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stone shoots and misses
and Stewart counters with a head kick that wobbles Stone - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Stewart sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marty Stewart!
