Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacarias Roque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots in and drives through. Roque sprawls well. Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jackson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jackson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Roque takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses. Roque avoids the body shot from Jackson.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Roque pushes him off. Roque avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roque tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roque to the ground. Roque escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jackson fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson fails to land the takedown. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Roque is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Roque to his feet. Roque shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense. Roque tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roque manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Roque connects with a solid leg kick. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson stays in close to Roque's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roque preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jackson is in close to Roque's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Roque stuffs the takedown attempt from Jackson. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roque shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Roque is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson prevents Roque from getting back to his feet. Roque is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson stays in close to Roque's body and controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Roque, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Jackson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jackson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Roque in his tracks. Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Roque scores with a push kick. Roque avoids the body shot from Jackson.

Jackson pulls guard. Roque drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Roque off! Roque jumps back into Jackson's guard. Roque stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Roque is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jackson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jackson winds up and cracks Roque with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Roque wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
Jackson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
