Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Fallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deacon Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Fallon looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marco Fallon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Deacon Batista! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Deacon Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fallon scores with a takedown into Batista's guard. Batista is trying to control the position but Fallon postures up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Batista might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fallon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Fallon is looking to work some ground and pound but Batista has wrist control. Fallon wants to stand but Batista has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Fallon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Batista looks gassed! Fallon trying to control but Batista is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batista is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fallon looking to sit in guard and control but Batista gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fallon pulls Batista in to control the position. Batista wants to stand but Fallon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fallon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Batista is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fallon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Batista's back instead. Fallon has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Batista tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista tries to lock up and control but Fallon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Batista regains half guard. Batista missing with punches from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Batista is trying to hold Fallon in close to prevent damage but Fallon has managed to pass into half guard.
Fallon stops Batista from getting back to his feet.

Batista is staying active underneath Fallon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Fallon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Batista tries for a takedown but Fallon circles away easily and Fallon counters with a good low kick that Batista was not able to check. Batista gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fallon counters with a single leg into guard. Batista didn't expect that. Fallon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Batista, up you get! Batista throws a body kick the misses and Batista takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Batista swats away the attempt to clinch by Fallon. Batista scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fallon tries to buck Batista off but Batista is having none of it. Batista is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fallon is trying to escape and Batista transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fallon is forced to tap! Nice work there by Batista! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Deacon Batista! Deacon Batista is the new middleweight champion!
