Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Moo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Space Lord - Monster Magnet. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikey Moo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moo but Moo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Moo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ellis did well to prevent Moo getting side control.

Moo wants to work for an arm triangle but Ellis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ellis wants to get back to full guard but Moo has passed into side control.
Ellis tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Moo easily slips into full mount!
Ellis is working to get back to half guard.
Moo with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Moo stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Moo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown but Moo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Moo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ellis keeps working.

Ellis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Moo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ellis manages to get himself to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moo wants to pass the guard but Ellis is keeping the position.

Ellis wants to sweep but no luck.
Moo trying to control but Ellis is working from the bottom.
Ellis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Moo trying to control the position from guard on top but Ellis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mikey Moo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Moo feints and then cracks Ellis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ellis down.
Ellis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moo sizes up Ellis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice takedown defense from Moo. No joy for Ellis on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Ellis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moo shoots in for a takedown but Ellis shows good takedown defense.
Moo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moo fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ellis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Moo counters with a stiff right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moo scores with the left hand. Ellis knows he should have avoided that one.

Moo drives through and clinches with Ellis against the cage.
Moo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ellis is defending well.

Moo has Ellis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Moo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ellis tumbling to the mat - Moo dives into Ellis's guard.
Ellis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mikey Moo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Moo forces Ellis back against the cage and clinches.

Ellis pulls Moo into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moo trying to control but Ellis is working from the bottom.
Ellis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ellis wants to finish this one by submission but Moo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ellis.
Moo wants to hold on but Ellis pushes him away.
Moo sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Moo is trying to get back to full guard.

Moo wants to control but Ellis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ellis working over Moo with some ground and pound. Moo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ellis moves into full mount! Moo won't be happy about that!
Moo is desperately trying to improve his position but Ellis has a good base and remains in mount.
Ellis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mikey Moo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Moo somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Ellis takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Moo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown but Moo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Moo rushes Ellis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ellis is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Moo is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Moo to keep the fight standing.

Ellis is trying to trip Moo. He has hold of a leg but Moo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ellis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Moo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ellis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Moo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ellis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ellis wants to get up but he can't break Moo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Moo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ellis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Moo controls Ellis momentarily but Ellis frees himself.
Moo tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Moo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Moo looking for subs off his back but Ellis has passed one foot through into half guard.
Ellis slips a nice elbow through Moo's hands, connecting with Moo's forehead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ellis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Moo is trying to maintain the position but Ellis is very close to passing his half guard.

Ellis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Moo to get to his feet.
Moo clobbers Ellis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Moo motions for Ellis to come forward. Moo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Moo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ellis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Moo gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moo tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Ellis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Moo tries to advance to mount but Ellis denies him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikey Moo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Moo is looking to clinch but Ellis is avoiding it.
Ellis misses with a kick to the body.
Ellis doesn't manage to clinch there - Moo circles away.
Moo avoids the head kick by Ellis.
Moo tries to clinch up but Ellis circles away and keeps his distance.
Josh Ellis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ellis moves into the clinch successfully.
Ellis gets underhooks to prevent Moo's takedown attempt.

Ellis pulls guard.
Ellis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moo tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Moo is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ellis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ellis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Moo is pressing down on Ellis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Moo wants to get back to his feet but Ellis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ellis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Moo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ellis sprawls well. Ellis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moo gets slowly back to his feet.
Moo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Moo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ellis circles away.
Josh Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Moo.
Moo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sloppy strikes from Moo. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mikey Moo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Moo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
