Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Marzone!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin gets caught flat footed, as Marzone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Martin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marzone is one step ahead there.
Marzone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Marzone's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Marzone stands and steps away. Martin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Marzone fails to land with a series of punches.
Marzone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Martin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Marzone counters by clinching up.
Martin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Marzone fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Martin tries for a takedown but Marzone circles away easily
and Marzone counters with a single leg into guard. Martin didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martin is breathing heavily.
Martin looking for a guillotine here but Marzone defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marzone trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marzone is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Marzone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Martin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marzone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Marzone wants to pass the guard but Martin is keeping the position.
Marzone working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Martin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Marzone passes into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marzone wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Martin, who protects the arm well.
Martin tries to buck Marzone off but Marzone is having none of it.
Martin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Marzone's best efforts.
Martin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marzone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Martin working for a triangle but Marzone defends it easily.

Marzone wants to stand but Martin is controlling his posture from full guard.
Martin is looking for a triangle but Marzone pushes his legs off easily.
Marzone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marzone has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Martin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Marzone is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Martin pulls down on the head and he's put Marzone to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jeff Martin!
