Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mizuki Hata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hata shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Franklin as he avoids it easily.
Hata tries to score a power double leg takedown but Franklin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hata somewhat.
Franklin scores with a hook to the body. Hata takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hata tries to clinch up
and Franklin counters with a flying knee that drops Hata! Franklin dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lance Franklin!
