The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a hook but Omega avoids it easily.
Omega fails with the takedown.
Omega shoots for a takedown but Nelson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Omega displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nelson throws out the jab.
Nelson leaves Omega with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alfa Omega. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Omega fails with a takedown attempt.
Alfa Omega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Omega is defended easily by Nelson.
Omega takes one on the button.

It looks like Alfa Omega has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Omega.
Omega throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Omega off to one side.
Omega is breathing heavily.
Nelson throws a lazy right hand but Omega sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nelson tries to clinch but Omega is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Omega circles away.
Omega misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Omega looks up at the clock. Bad move! Nelson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Omega. Nelson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
