Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerd Stenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Standard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenner's entrance music is Escapado - Gezeichnet. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gerd Stenner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Standard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stenner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Standard as he avoids it easily.
Standard tries to close the distance and clinch but Stenner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Standard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Standard moves to clinch but Stenner breaks away
and Stenner counters with a nice double leg into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stenner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Standard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stenner has Standard in his guard.
Standard won't allow Stenner to sweep him here.
Standard has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Stenner to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Standard is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Stenner pulls down on the head and he's put Standard to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gerd Stenner!
An out of breath Gerd Stenner thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
