And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Charles Skarbowsky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Skarbowsky.
Zordick lands a jab.
Zordick uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Skarbowsky.
Zordick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Skarbowsky misses with a body kick.
Zordick looks to land a right hand but Skarbowsky moved out of range.
Skarbowsky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Skarbowsky pushes Zordick away with a front kick.
Skarbowsky lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Zordick takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zordick is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Zordick wants to work for an arm triangle but Skarbowsky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Skarbowsky won't allow Zordick to pass to mount.
Zordick is thwarting Skarbowsky's attempts to control the position.

Skarbowsky is looking to control Zordick's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Skarbowsky avoid being mounted?

Zordick uses his free foot to push down on Skarbowsky's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Skarbowsky.

Zordick has hold of Skarbowsky's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Skarbowsky manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Skarbowsky is controlling an arm, preventing Zordick from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
