Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antero Mokka! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colon doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Mokka to counter with a crisp jab. Colon shoots in looking for a takedown. Mokka tries to sprawl out of it but Colon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mokka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Colon with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roberto Colon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Colon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mokka throws out the jab. Mokka misses with a series of wild punches.
Mokka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Colon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mokka sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Colon is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mokka cracks Colon with a big right hand but Colon just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The strikes coming from Mokka are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Mokka landing a few strikes. An elbow from Mokka crashes against the mat.
Colon taking a bit of punishment here - Mokka scoring with strikes. Mokka is putting a hurting on Colon here, landing some big shots from side control. Mokka scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Colon is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mokka can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antero Mokka! Antero Mokka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
