Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Naoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Smoke Serpent Ft. Rakaa Iriscience - Jiu Jitsu. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takeshi Naoki!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Naoki counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Naoki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Naoki scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gracie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Naoki is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Naoki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Naoki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Naoki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Naoki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gracie has his foot on Naoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Naoki works his way back into a safe position though.
Naoki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Naoki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Naoki looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Naoki looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Naoki!
Naoki cracks Gracie with a big right hand but Gracie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Naoki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Naoki is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gracie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Naoki uses it to pass to side control.
Naoki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Gracie tries to roll over but Naoki keeps him under control.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Naoki pulls his head out easily.
Naoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.

Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Naoki scores with a couple of nice shots.
Naoki is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Gracie is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Naoki perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.
Naoki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Naoki pulls his head out easily.
Naoki lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gracie quite badly. Gracie pulls Naoki in close trying to recover. Naoki postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gracie on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gracie doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Naoki!
