The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Donovan misses its intended target.
Donovan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Stinson rushes Donovan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Donovan is trying to push Stinson away but Stinson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Donovan is trying to break free.

Stinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Donovan moves out of range of the strikes.
Donovan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Stinson fails to land with a series of punches.
Stinson tries to clinch up but Donovan circles away and keeps his distance.
Donovan ducks under a wild hook from Stinson.
Stinson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Donovan counters with a nice uppercut.

Donovan throws a hook but Stinson avoids it easily.
Stinson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Donovan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stinson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Donovan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stinson back to the cage. Donovan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stinson closes the distance and clinches.
Donovan wants to break the clinch but can't.

Donovan is looking to break free of the clinch but Stinson has double underhooks.
Donovan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stinson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Donovan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Donovan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stinson.
No joy there for Stinson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barney Stinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Stinson does no damage.
Donovan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Danga de danga de dang - Stinson scores with a four punch combination!

It looks like Vaughn Donovan has been cut.
Stinson throws out a loose jab but Donovan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stinson misses with a hook to the body
and Donovan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Donovan swats away the attempt to clinch by Stinson.
Donovan misses with an uppercut.
Stinson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Donovan counters with a crisp right hand that drops Stinson! Donovan lets Stinson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Stinson is rocked!
Stinson is breathing heavily.
Stinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oh Stinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stinson gets a clinch.
Donovan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Donovan manages to break the clinch.
Stinson seems to have got his legs back now.
Stinson throws a jab but it's blocked by Donovan.
Stinson is looking to clinch but Donovan is avoiding it.
Stinson lands with a nice combination. Donovan backs away looking to recover.
Donovan throws a combination. Stinson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Donovan scores with a jab.
and Donovan counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Stinson! He's just covering up as Donovan starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
