Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Misuaksual Lutuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Souta Itou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Itou tries a head kick but it misses.

Itou shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lutuka napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Itou wants the takedown. Lutuka is fighting it off but Itou persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lutuka's guard against the cage.

Lutuka has his foot on Itou's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Itou works his way back into a safe position though.
Itou wants to get up but he can't break Lutuka's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Itou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lutuka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Itou gets to his feet - Lutuka follows without any prompting.

Itou shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lutuka's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lutuka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Itou can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Itou decides to return to a standing position.

A close round but Souta Itou will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Itou misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lutuka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Itou tries to avoid it but Lutuka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Itou to the ground. Itou escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lutuka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Itou tries to avoid it but Lutuka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Itou to the ground. Itou escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Itou throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Itou leaves Lutuka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lutuka passes Itou's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Lutuka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Itou is just riding it out for now. Lutuka eventually gives up the hold.

Souta Itou showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lutuka has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Itou. Oh but Lutuka has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Itou goes limp - he's gone! Lutuka jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
