Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marley Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by war drums. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marley Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Carwin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Green pinned against the cage. Green gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A jab from Green does it's job there. Green goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Carwin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Carwin jumps into guard, dragging Green to the mat.
Carwin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carwin trying to keep a closed guard but Green is proving a slippery customer.
Green with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Carwin looking for a sweep. Not yet Carwin, not yet. Green wants to control from the top but Carwin keeps moving. Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A left and a right from Green both land. Nice combination. Green shoots in for a double leg but Carwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Green fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Carwin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carwin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Carwin is looking to clinch but Green is avoiding it.
Carwin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Green as he avoids it easily. Marley Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Carwin. Carwin looks gassed! Green drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Carwin is trying to control the position but Green postures up. Green slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Carwin keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. Green prevents Carwin from getting back to his feet. Carwin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Carwin has momentary wrist control but Green slips an elbow through the middle. Green keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carwin's head. Green trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carwin shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Carwin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Green gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Green with a nice head shot there. Green lands a couple of elbows. Green pushing down on Carwin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Carwin is looking for a sweep. Green is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Green is tying to control. Carwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Green winds up and cracks Carwin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Carwin has hold of Green's hands but Green slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are battling for position here. Carwin manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Green scoring with some ground and pound. Green drops back looking for a leg! Carwin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carwin manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Carwin's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Green advances position into side control! Carwin tries to improve position but can't. Green grinds an elbow into Carwin's temple. Carwin is trying to get back to half guard. Green tries for a kimura but Carwin is defending well. Carwin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though. Green is trying to control the action in half guard but Carwin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Green moves into full mount! Carwin won't be happy about that! Carwin is trying to escape the mount.
Green can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carwin is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carwin working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carwin bucks Green off and manages to get back to his feet! Green scores with the left hand. Carwin knows he should have avoided that one. Carwin is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marley Green dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Green drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Green trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom. Carwin looking for a guillotine here but Green defends easily.
Carwin is looking for a triangle but Green pushes his legs off easily.
Carwin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Green can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Green is in close to Carwin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Carwin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green landing with the ground and pound. Green wants to pass the guard but Carwin is keeping the position. Carwin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A jab from Green does it's job there. Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carwin circles away. A jab from Green misses. Carwin slips under a jab from Green. Carwin throws a right hand that Green ducks under and follows up with a left that Green also avoids with ease. Green bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Green scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Green swings for the body but Carwin moves out of range.
Green swats away the attempt to clinch by Carwin. Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carwin's waist but Carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side. Carwin has closed the distance and engaged Green in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin has Green pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Carwin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Green tumbling to the mat - Carwin dives into Green's guard. Carwin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Carwin wants to get back to his feet.
Green is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carwin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carwin's back!

Carwin grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Green's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Green is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Carwin taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Green.
