Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Condit comes into the arena with Never back down - Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Belfort takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Belfort throws a big shot that misses.
Condit connects with a nice looking jab.
Good work by Belfort as he checks the leg kick.

Vitor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Condit lunges at Belfort with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Belfort's hand.

Belfort tries to bum rush Condit with a series of wild strikes but Condit uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Condit moves into range and connects with a jab.

Condit lands a really nice looking cross but Belfort seems unphased.

Belfort tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Condit was well out of range. Poor timing from Belfort.
Condit is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Condit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Condit connects with a body shot that sends Belfort's belly button to the back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Belfort takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Condit fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Belfort on the side of the head.

Condit throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Belfort stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Condit lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Belfort gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Condit.

Condit is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Condit lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Belfort seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Condit shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Belfort is backing up but Condit catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Belfort covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Condit Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
