Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Laak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanner Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laak kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pain - Shut your mouth. Speed has chosen Funky Kingston / Toots And The Maytals as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tanner Speed!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Speed. Laak does a little dance to reset his feet.
Laak throws out a loose jab but Speed uses good head movement to avoid it.
Laak throws a front kick aimed at Speed's knee but Speed avoids it well.
A nice inside leg kick there by Speed. That's going to slow Laak down.
Speed connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Speed throws a leg kick but Laak checks it.
Speed doesn't manage to clinch there - Laak circles away.
Laak throws a wild body kick that Speed sees coming a mile off.

and Laak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Laak sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Laak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Speed manages to avoid it.
Speed on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Laak. Laak obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Laak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Laak has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Speed.
Laak chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Speed can pounce on him.
Speed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Laak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Speed. That did some damage!

Laak doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Laak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speed moves away.

Speed is looking to control Laak's arms but Laak gets an underhook and turns him. Now Speed has his back to the cage.
Laak tries to throw a body punch but Speed avoids it by throwing Laak back against the cage.
Speed has Laak pressed against the cage, preventing Laak from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eric Laak will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Laak lands a left hand that snaps the head of Speed backwards.
Laak lands a right hand that snaps the head of Speed backwards.
Speed throws a knee to the head but misses.
Speed misses with a body punch.
Laak lands with a left to the head.

Speed is rocked!
Laak pushes Speed back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Speed is still on wobbly legs! Can Laak finish him?
Laak lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laak pushes Speed against the cage. Laak is working some dirty boxing. Laak pushes off with a quick right hook! Speed goes down! Speed tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Laak moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Laak!
A less than humble Eric Laak misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
