The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoho darts in and clinches Faker up against the cage.

Hoho pulls guard.
Faker stopping the sweep attempt from Hoho.
Hoho is working hard here to advance position.
Faker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Faker throwing strikes but missing.
Hoho managing to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoho looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Faker wants to control from the top but Hoho keeps moving.

Hoho looking for a guillotine here but Faker defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faker looking to sit in guard and control but Hoho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Faker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hoho controls the pace.

Hoho stays in close to Faker's body and controls the position.
Hoho wants to pass the guard but Faker is keeping the position.
Hoho's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We're going to have a standup here because Hoho Hoho wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hoho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Faker!

It looks like Hoho Hoho has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Faker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Faker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hoho postures up.
Hoho engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Hoho won't allow Faker to sweep him here.
Hoho pushes down on Faker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if Hoho is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Faker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hoho is taking a breather. Faker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoho connects with a nice short shot to Faker's temple.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hoho Hoho.

Hoho drives through with a takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hoho distracts Faker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hoho works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hoho is looking for a kimura here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hoho Hoho dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hoho Hoho's cut.
That's time! Hoho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hoho successfully pulls guard.
Faker wants to control from the top but Hoho keeps moving.
Faker wants to stand but Hoho is controlling his posture from full guard.

Faker content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hoho has locked up a guillotine! Hoho's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Faker is holding on here and Hoho must be using up a lot of energy. Faker has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hoho gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
