The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerrik gets tackled into the cage by Penn. Penn maintains the clinch.
Gerrik manages to break the clinch.
Gerrik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Penn on his heels. He'll look to pass Penn's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Penn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gerrik is aware though and is defending well.
Penn controls Gerrik momentarily but Gerrik frees himself.
Penn tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gerrik postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gerrik has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gerrik trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom.
Gerrik throwing strikes from guard but Penn blocks nicely.
Gerrik cracks Penn with a solid left hand.
Gerrik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gerrik lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Penn controls Gerrik momentarily but Gerrik frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn has his feet on Gerrik's thighs here. He's pushed Gerrik off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gerrik screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
