Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Moss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Slone! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slone swats away the attempt to clinch by Moss. Moss gets caught napping as Slone dives in and scores a takedown. Moss manages to retain guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Slone passes easily into side control. Nice work. Slone is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Moss will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Moss prevents Slone from moving into mount. Slone wants to control but Moss is keeping him busy. Slone controls the position from side control. Moss tries to improve position but can't. Moss is working hard here to advance position. Moss prevents Slone from moving into mount. Moss is trying to get back to his feet. Slone tries to move into full mount but can't pass Moss's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slone has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bill Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moss is fending him off so far but Slone persists. Nope, Moss circles away and we're back to standing. Moss throws a big shot that misses. Slone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moss circles away. Slone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moss. Slone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moss avoids it really well and circles away. Bill Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Slone. Moss scores with a takedown into Slone's guard. Moss has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Moss postures up in Slone's guard and throws a big left but Slone blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moss manages to get himself to full guard.

Slone showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Moss wants to stand up but Slone is controlling him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moss is working an open guard so Slone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Moss gets in close and instigates a clinch. Slone stops a takedown attempt from Moss.
Moss has clasped his hands together around Slone's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Moss is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Moss is looking for a sweep. Slone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Slone seems content to control. Slone moves nicely into side control. Moss is being controlled here. Slone advances to mount. Slone looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Moss wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Slone trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Moss doesn't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moss looking very determined here, making life difficult for Slone.
Slone has good solid back control here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chad Slone wasn't active enough on the ground. Moss shoots in and gets a takedown into Slone's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Slone dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Slone wants to clinch up but Moss keeps it at a distance. Moss fails in his attempt to clinch. Slone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moss is pushing Slone's head away, looking to escape. Slone manages to hold on to the position though. You can see the frustration on Moss's face as Slone controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slone passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Moss! Moss is wriggling around trying to escape.
Slone wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Moss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slone wants to control the pace but Moss is squirming around nicely. Slone wants to finish this one by submission but Moss is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Slone. Slone controlling the position easily from mount. Slone looking to control but Moss is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Slone controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moss is trying to escape the mount.
Slone looking to control and managing it successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Chad Slone has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Moss tries to clinch there but Slone circles away.
Moss bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Moss connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Slone some visible discomfort.
Moss is looking to take a break and control but Slone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slone is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Moss off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slone just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Slone is breathing heavily. Slone tries to get the hooks in deep but Moss pushed the leg off. Moss defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moss trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Slone controlling from the back. Slone not allowing Moss to control his hands. Moss rolls, trying to escape but Slone keeps control of the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moss looking very determined here, making life difficult for Slone.

Chad Slone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Moss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Moss shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slone defends it nicely. Slone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moss swivels and escapes. Slone tries to close the distance and clinch but Moss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moss napping and manages to drive through into side control! Slone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Moss is trying to control Slone's posture but Slone avoids it. Slone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slone trying to control the action but Moss is working from the bottom. Moss tries to buck Slone off but Slone is having none of it. Moss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Slone works to advance to full mount. Moss defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Slone. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Moss is looking to get to half guard. Slone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Slone get's back to his feet. Moss throws a nice looking combination but Slone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Slone shoots in but Moss avoids the takedown attempt easily. Moss throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moss tries to avoid it but Slone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moss to the ground. Moss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bill Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Slone. Moss looking to score a takedown here. Slone is defending well but Moss drives through and ends up in Slone's guard. Slone trying to keep a closed guard but Moss is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moss gets to his feet. Slone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Moss!
Moss moves to clinch but Slone breaks away and Slone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Slone wants to pass the guard but Moss is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slone preventing the sweep. Slone drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Slone as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Moss screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Slone! Nice submission victory there!
