Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tzvetvan Todorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angel Colon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tzvetvan Todorov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angel Colon! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colon just misses with a punch to the body.
Colon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Todorov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Colon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Todorov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Colon's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Todorov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Colon managing to control the position. Todorov chips away with some ground and pound. Colon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Todorov landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Todorov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Todorov preventing the sweep. Todorov throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todorov stands up over Colon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Todorov postures up and lands a big shot to Colon's brow. Colon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Todorov defends well. Todorov trying to control the position from guard on top but Colon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Colon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Todorov throws a big elbow that misses. Colon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Todorov manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon trying to control the position from guard on top but Todorov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Todorov is trying to keep Colon in close.
Colon wants to stand but Todorov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Angel Colon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Todorov gets caught napping as Colon dives in and scores a takedown. Todorov manages to retain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Colon wants to control from the top but Todorov keeps moving. Todorov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Todorov wants to sweep here but Colon controlling him for the moment. Todorov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Todorov is looking to sweep but instead, Colon has passed into half guard.
Colon is stalling here. Todorov is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Colon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Todorov has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Colon misses with an elbow from the bottom. Todorov in side control, throwing shots but Colon defends. Todorov working the ground and pound from side control. Colon can't do much from the bottom here. Colon taking punishment in the form of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Todorov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Colon can do anything to dispel that myth. Todorov tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Check out the look on Todorov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Colon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tzvetvan Todorov will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Todorov swats away the attempt to clinch by Colon. Todorov checks a low kick from Colon. Colon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Colon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Todorov did well to prevent Colon getting side control. Todorov is trying to control but can't.
Todorov is controlling Colon's position as best he can from this difficult position. Todorov manages to get to full guard.
Todorov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todorov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Todorov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Colon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Colon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Todorov stops Colon from passing to mount. Colon is staying tight to Todorov's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Todorov is not content to let Colon control the position. Colon tries for a kimura but Todorov is defending well. Todorov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Colon seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Colon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon is figuring out what he wants to do next. Colon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Todorov keeps working. Todorov wants to control but Colon is keeping busy and won't allow it. Colon tries to stand but can't do so whilst Todorov controls his leg. Angel Colon has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Todorov is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angel Colon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Colon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Todorov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Todorov is looking for a sweep. Colon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Colon trying to control the action but Todorov is working from the bottom. Colon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Colon. Todorov thuds a left hand into Colon's body. Todorov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Colon manages to avoid it. Colon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Todorov did well to prevent Colon getting side control. Todorov gets back to full guard.
Todorov has his foot on Colon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Colon works his way back into a safe position though. Todorov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Colon wants to control from the top but Todorov keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon wants to pass the guard but Todorov is keeping the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Todorov is trying to keep Colon in close.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Angel Colon wasn't active enough on the ground. Todorov shoots in for a takedown but Colon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Colon looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Todorov dives in and grabs Colon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Colon pushes down on Todorov's head and hops out. Colon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that's the end of the fight! Angel Colon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Colon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
