Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macena lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Balare tries to keep at a distance but Macena has taken the fight into the clinch.

Macena is trying to trip Balare. He has hold of a leg but Balare is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Macena persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Balare escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Macena gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Balare looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Balare is looking for a triangle but Macena pushes his legs off easily.
Macena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Balare swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Balare working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macena doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Balare is tightening it up a little... Macena has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Macena reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Macena taps out! Nice BJJ there by Balare!
