Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jacob Fosie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kenji Matsushita!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fosie throws a sloppy head kick and Matsushita moves out of range easily.
Fosie fails with an attempt to clinch.

Fosie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Matsushita napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fosie decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Matsushita attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Fosie doesn't manage to clinch there - Matsushita circles away.
Fosie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matsushita paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Matsushita throws a front kick that sends Fosie stumbling back into the cage.
Fosie closes the distance but Matsushita moves to the side
and Matsushita counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fosie is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fosie is looking to clinch.
Kenji Matsushita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fosie ducks under a wild hook from Matsushita.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Matsushita, right into the meat.
That kick from Matsushita tenderised Fosie's leg. Fosie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fosie avoids the body shot from Matsushita.
Fosie shoots in for a takedown but Matsushita shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Matsushita tries to throw a body punch but Fosie avoids it by throwing Matsushita back against the cage.
Matsushita throws a head punch that misses.
Matsushita can't find room to land a body shot as Fosie controls the action.

Matsushita breaks the clinch.
Matsushita lands with a nice body kick.

Fosie pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Matsushita thumps Fosie with a low kick.
Nice sprawl there from Matsushita as Fosie shoots in.
Matsushita checks the leg kick.
Matsushita lands a leg kick that knocks Fosie off balance momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matsushita leaves Fosie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Fosie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matsushita lands a nice looking body shot.

Fosie shoots in and gets a takedown into Matsushita's guard.

Matsushita is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fosie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fosie in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Fosie is going to stand back up.

Matsushita is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fosie pulls his head out easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Matsushita is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fosie's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Matsushita cracks Fosie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
