Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Springsteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Springsteen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Stinker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stinker wants to clinch up but Springsteen keeps it at a distance.
Stinker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Springsteen drives through and clinches with Stinker against the cage.
Stinker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Springsteen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stinker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Springsteen is looking to clinch but Stinker is avoiding it.
Stinker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Springsteen darts in and clinches Stinker up against the cage.

Springsteen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Springsteen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Stinker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Stinker stands up from Springsteen's guard - Stinker perhaps looking for a knockout.

Springsteen has closed the distance and engaged Stinker in a clinch.
Springsteen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Springsteen looking to stall.
Springsteen lands an elbow that stopped Stinker in his tracks for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Springsteen successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stinker looking to sit in guard and control but Springsteen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Springsteen tries to free his leg and advance position but Stinker is retaining full guard.
Springsteen trying to control the position from guard on top but Stinker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stinker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stinker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Springsteen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stinker is proving hard to escape from.

Stinker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Springsteen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Stinker is tightening it up a little... Springsteen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Springsteen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Springsteen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Stinker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Sam Stinker!
