Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuta shoots and misses
and Duplesris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fukuta displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Duplesris.
Sai Fukuta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fukuta doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fukuta tries for a takedown but Duplesris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fukuta fails to land with a series of punches.
Fukuta misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fukuta takes a swing at Duplesris's ribcage but misses.
Fukuta throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duplesris counters with a single leg into guard. Fukuta didn't expect that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Duplesris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fukuta is looking to stand up but Duplesris isn't so interested in that idea.
Fukuta trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Duplesris wants to get up but he can't break Fukuta's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Duplesris slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fukuta is looking for a triangle but Duplesris pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Duplesris connects with a couple of short punches.
Duplesris is stalling in the full guard.
Duplesris trying to control the position from guard on top but Fukuta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fukuta wants to stand up but Duplesris is controlling him.
Duplesris is sitting in close to Fukuta's body. Fukuta has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Duplesris is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Duplesris is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Fukuta.
