PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Boxxing Pro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moon Wrasse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Moon Wrasse was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boxxing Pro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moon Wrasse!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrasse scores with a kick to the midsection.
Pro scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Moon Wrasse has been cut.
Wrasse throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pro swinging wildly here.
Wrasse throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wrasse misses with an attempted mid kick.
Wrasse lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wrasse wants to land a leg kick but Pro is out of range.

Pro works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Wrasse misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pro misses with a few strikes there.
Wrasse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Pro throws a hook but Wrasse avoids it easily.

Wrasse throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pro takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Wrasse throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pro.

Pro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Pro looks to land a left hand but Wrasse moved out of range nicely.

Wrasse throws a push kick but Pro slaps the foot to one side.
Wrasse goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Pro wants to clinch.
Pro throws a looping overhand right but Wrasse ducks down to avoid it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pro crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wrasse - the referee stops the clock and Pro gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wrasse. Pro manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A chopping leg kick lands by Wrasse.
Pro will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pro looks to clinch
and Wrasse counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pro is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Wrasse throws a sloppy head kick and Pro moves out of range easily.
Wrasse moves forwards but Pro connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wrasse defending well as Pro loads up on a big left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moon Wrasse dominated that round.

Pro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Boxxing Pro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pro lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wrasse at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Pro looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pro moves in looking to clinch but Wrasse pushes him off.
Wrasse scores with a hook to the body. Pro takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Moon Wrasse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wrasse takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Pro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wrasse was well out of range. Poor timing from Pro.

Pro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wrasse paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wrasse feints and then cracks Pro's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pro down.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pro swings for the body but Wrasse moves out of range.
Pro walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wrasse.
Pro gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wrasse thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pro if he has to take too many more of those.
Moon Wrasse is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Pro wants to clinch up but Wrasse keeps it at a distance.
Pro throws a hook but Wrasse avoids it easily.
Wrasse fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pro misses with a body shot.
Wrasse scores with a head kick.
Pro throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wrasse on the side of the head.
Wrasse pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Wrasse counters with a good, hard body kick but Pro shrugs it off.

Pro looks to land a right hand but Wrasse moved out of range.
Wrasse lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Moon Wrasse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wrasse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Moon Wrasse decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
