Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huge Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.

Silva takes the fight into the clinch.

Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bum uses from the top position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bum throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Silva escapes and throws Bum's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Bum is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Silva rushes Bum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Bum throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bum walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Silva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bum closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Bum pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Silva has Bum pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bum tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Bum's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Bum is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bum shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bum gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva connects with a leg kick. Bum looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bum shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Bum keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bum is defended easily by Silva.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bum, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bum regains guard immediately.
Bum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bum. Bum circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Silva jumps guard and drags Bum to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's time! Bum's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Huge Bum.
I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
