Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrell Bentley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Battle Cry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Battle Cry! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bentley drives through with a takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Bentley throwing strikes but missing. Cry is pulling down on Bentley's head. It's preventing any offense from Bentley, at least for the moment. Cry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bentley postures up in Cry's guard and throws a big left but Cry blocks it. Bentley trying to control the position from guard on top but Cry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bentley throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bentley with a flurry of punches that miss. Bentley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bentley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bentley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Cry has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Cry keeping full guard, as Bentley tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bentley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bentley trying to control but Cry is working from the bottom. Bentley throwing strikes from guard but Cry blocks nicely. Cry should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bentley tries to get out of the position.

Bentley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cry is controlling him. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bentley as he jumps to the side. Bentley tries to clinch up but Cry circles away and keeps his distance. Cry misses with a takedown attempt and Bentley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Battle Cry has been cut. Cry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bentley's waist but Bentley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cry off to one side. Terrell Bentley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bentley working some strikes from top position. Terrell Bentley dominated that round. The cut man is working on Battle Cry's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cry darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bentley tries to kick Cry off but Cry keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bentley makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bentley. Cry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cry pushes down on Bentley's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cry missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bentley is trying to stand up here but Cry is controlling him well. Bentley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cry won't allow Bentley to sweep him here. Cry throwing strikes from guard but Bentley blocks nicely. Cry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cry working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bentley's head. Bentley keeping moving, preventing Cry from controlling successfully. Cry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bentley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bentley is trying to work for a kimura but Cry is defending well.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cry defends it well. Bentley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bentley trying to control the action but Cry is working from the bottom. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A combination from Bentley does no damage. Bentley pushes Cry up against the cage in a clinch. Bentley is trying to push Cry away but Cry has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cry goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bentley prevents it.

Bentley works Cry's body with a nice hook. Bentley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cry ducks right into an uppercut from Bentley.
That has opened up Battle Cry's cut even more. Bentley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cry's hands. Bentley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cry paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bentley lands with a nice body punch. Nice takedown defense from Bentley. No joy for Cry on that attempt. Terrell Bentley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Battle Cry.

Bentley keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bentley connects with a nice short shot to Cry's temple. Bentley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bentley is looking to take a break and control but Cry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bentley thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bentley scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The cut above Battle Cry's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
