Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Maldonado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lugvig Borga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fabio Maldonado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lugvig Borga!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldonado tries to clinch but Borga moves out of range.
Maldonado looks for a takedown but Borga sprawls well.
Maldonado fails to land with a series of punches.
Borga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Borga shoots in for a takedown but Maldonado shows good takedown defense.
Maldonado rushes Borga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Borga is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maldonado pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Borga jumps guard and drags Maldonado to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Borga wriggles free and stands up.
Borga shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maldonado counters with a one-two to the body.
Fabio Maldonado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lugvig Borga.
Horrible takedown by Borga or perhaps it was just good defense by Maldonado which made him look bad.

Borga fails to land the takedown.
Maldonado throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Borga gets a clinch.
Borga ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Borga no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Maldonado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Maldonado drops back, looking for a kneebar! Borga looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Borga looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Borga!
Borga looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Borga looks gassed!
Maldonado sneaks back into half guard.
Maldonado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Borga stalling away here and it's allowed Maldonado to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Maldonado has his foot on Borga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Borga works his way back into a safe position though.
Maldonado utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Maldonado had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Borga is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maldonado Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Borga's back instead.
Maldonado is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Borga knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Borga for a finish.

Borga just trying to survive but Maldonado is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Maldonado is trying to stick to Borga's back but Borga is turning into Maldonado. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Maldonado's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Borga.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Borga has the hooks in. Maldonado is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

I really don't envy Maldonado right now.
Borga looking to break Maldonado's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Maldonado remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Borga will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Lugvig Borga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lugvig Borga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Borga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
