Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Owen Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the cage accompanied by Breaking Benjamin - Bulls On Parade. Augusto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Funkist-Snow Fairy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Owen Rose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose clobbers Augusto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Augusto misses with a takedown
and Rose counters with a shoot takedown. Augusto fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rose distracts Augusto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rose has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rose keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Augusto's head.
Rose avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Augusto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rose defends well.

Rose lands a couple of elbows.
Augusto is rocked!
Rose postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Augusto covers up, he's hurt! Rose keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Rose and the ref steps in to end the fight! Rose can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Owen Rose!
Owen Rose decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
