PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stout comes to the cage accompanied by Slaughterhouse-Wack MC's. Brown is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Love College-Asher Roth. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Stout!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Brown!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots for a takedown but Stout saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stout has his takedown stuffed

and Brown moves into the clinch.
Brown has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stout is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Brown jumps into guard, dragging Stout to the mat.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stout doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stout manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stout really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stout slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Brown manages to work his way to half guard, despite Stout's best efforts.

Stout winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stout's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stout's back!
Brown doesn't have the hooks in and Stout manages to turn into his guard.

Stout is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Stout with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stout postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Stout passes Brown's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Stout has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Brown defend it? Stout steps over the head and cranks it - Brown is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stout!
