Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony's entrance music is Holidae Inn. A fine choice. Roscrow comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In The Middle Of It Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roscrow closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like William Anthony has been cut.

Anthony drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Anthony throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Roscrow works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roscrow is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Anthony drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roscrow manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anthony has Roscrow in his guard.

Roscrow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Anthony escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roscrow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anthony working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roscrow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roscrow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anthony looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Roscrow has picked Anthony up and slammed him! Anthony can't keep hold of the triangle and Roscrow manages to pass to side control!

Roscrow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Anthony manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Roscrow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Roscrow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Anthony sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Roscrow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Anthony is looking for a triangle but Roscrow pushes his legs off easily.

Roscrow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anthony has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roscrow has managed to get both his arms back between Anthony's legs - danger averted.

Roscrow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roscrow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Anthony is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
