Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Kopec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bull comes to the cage accompanied by Black Label Society - Fire It Up. Kopec has chosen Boats 'N Hoes as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Guy Kopec was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Bull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guy Kopec! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kopec throws a right hand that Bull ducks under and follows up with a left that Bull also avoids with ease. Bull scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kopec in his tracks. Kopec is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bull looks to score with a jab to the body but Kopec is just out of range. Some wild striking there from Bull.
Kopec rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bull counters with a two punch combo. Bull will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice jab there from Bull. Kopec throws a right and a left that both miss. Kopec paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Bull throws a quick inside leg kick. Kopec swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bull counters with a nice body shot. Roy Bull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Bull. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kopec throws out a loose jab but Bull uses good head movement to avoid it. Bull drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kopec is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bull has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bull working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bull grinds an elbow into Kopec's temple. Bull working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bull has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bull lands an elbow. Bull grinds an elbow into Kopec's temple. Bull looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kopec is avoiding damage well.
Bull working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bull tries to move to mount but Kopec blocks the move with his legs. Kopec pushes Bull away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bull gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bull thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bull working the ground and pound but Kopec is defending the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bull is putting a hurting on Kopec here, landing some big shots from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bull works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kopec is pushing Bull's head away, looking to escape. Bull manages to hold on to the position though. Bull working the head with strikes. Bull misses with the ground and pound. Bull looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kopec is avoiding damage well.
Kopec tries to escape but Bull is in control. Bull tries for a kimura but Kopec is defending well. Bull scoring with punches from side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bull tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Bull prevents Kopec from escaping the position. Bull working the ground and pound. Kopec is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bull landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Kopec taking a bit of punishment here - Bull scoring with strikes. Bull passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kopec! Bull landing strikes from the mount. You get the feeling that Kopec really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The referee warns Kopec that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kopec is rocked! Bull with good strikes from the mount here! Kopec is still in real trouble! Can Bull finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bull connects with a bit shot that sees Kopec covering up! More strikes from Bull and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Bull is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roy Bull! A pretty intense looking Roy Bull took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
