Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Staehlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Vicarious kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris moves in looking to clinch but Staehlin pushes him off.
Staehlin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Norris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Staehlin circles away from the clinch attempt
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Staehlin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It looks like Bones Norris has been cut.

Norris chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Staehlin can pounce on him.
Norris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Staehlin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Norris's calf.

Staehlin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Staehlin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Staehlin wants the takedown. Norris is fighting it off but Staehlin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Norris's guard against the ropes.
Staehlin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Norris, up you get!
Good leg kick by Staehlin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Staehlin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Norris has Staehlin pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Staehlin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Staehlin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Norris's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Staehlin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Norris steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Staehlin. That one must have hurt.

Staehlin stalks Norris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Norris's face. Norris staggers backwards, shaken.
Norris has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Staehlin.
Staehlin feints and then cracks Norris's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Norris down.
Staehlin clinches with his opponent.
Norris tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Staehlin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Staehlin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Norris's defenses.

Bones Norris's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Norris has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Staehlin.
Staehlin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Norris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Staehlin.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
