Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Killian Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Kolpakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrews's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Am Tha King. Kolpakov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alisa - Aerobica. Nikolai Kolpakov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Killian Andrews!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kolpakov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolpakov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Andrews fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kolpakov sprawls well initially but Andrews persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kolpakov is trying to stand.
Kolpakov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Andrews working over Kolpakov with some ground and pound. Kolpakov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Andrews trying to control the action but Kolpakov is working from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kolpakov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kolpakov tries to get to full guard but Andrews has control of the leg.

Andrews thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kolpakov's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Andrews in particular looking to stall.

We're going to have a standup here because Killian Andrews wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Andrews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kolpakov tries to avoid it but Andrews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kolpakov to the ground. Kolpakov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Andrews shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kolpakov napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kolpakov is trying to buck Andrews off.
Kolpakov dodges the ground and pound from Andrews.
Kolpakov parries the strikes from Andrews easily there. Andrews is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kolpakov to escape.
Andrews misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Andrews looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kolpakov is avoiding damage well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Andrews lands some shots froms side control.
An elbow from Andrews crashes against the mat.
Andrews fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kolpakov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sloppy strikes there by Andrews.
Kolpakov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Andrews is looking to take a break and control but Kolpakov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kolpakov prevents Andrews from improving position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Andrews in side control lands a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killian Andrews dominated that round.
That's time! Andrews's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kolpakov throws a lazy right hand but Andrews sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Andrews is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kolpakov's half guard.
Killian Andrews overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kolpakov is refusing to be controlled, as Andrews sits in half guard.
Kolpakov is trying to stand up here but Andrews is controlling him well.
Andrews is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Andrews lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Andrews moves nicely into side control.
Andrews moves into full mount!
Andrews scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Andrews pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Andrews has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Andrews connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kolpakov is rocked!
Andrews lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kolpakov hang on?
Kolpakov is still in real trouble! Can Andrews finish him?
Andrews takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Andrews cracks Kolpakov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Andrews loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kolpakov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Andrews land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Andrews stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Killian Andrews!
