Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimmo Ojala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gino Carr! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ojala changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carr tries to avoid it but Ojala manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carr to the ground. Carr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ojala looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Carr tries to clinch up but Ojala circles away and keeps his distance. Ojala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carr moves away. Carr clinches up with Ojala and pushes him back against the cage. Carr lands a knee to the body.

It looks like Kimmo Ojala has been cut. Carr landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Ojala tries to pull guard but Carr holds him up against the cage and eventually Ojala drops back down to his feet.

Ojala really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carr throws a good cross that connects.

Carr scores with a kick to the midsection. The fight stays on the outside here - Carr looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kimmo Ojala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ojala tries to break the clinch but Carr is controlling the position. Ojala wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Carr unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ojala lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ojala's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ojala takes a knee right on the jaw!

Carr lands with a short head shot on the inside. Nice elbow from Carr. Carr prevents Ojala from breaking the clinch. Carr slows down the pace here.

Ojala is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gino Carr dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kimmo Ojala's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Carr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ojala counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carr won't be happy with that. Carr is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ojala off and has taken his back! Carr is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ojala defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Carr sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Ojala taps out!
