Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Bronze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vevrin Betlach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Betlach is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Higher Ground. Vevrin Betlach has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mr Bronze's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Bronze!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vevrin Betlach!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Betlach thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bronze has Betlach up against the cage in a clinch.
Bronze lands a right hand that snaps the head of Betlach backwards.

Bronze pulls guard effortlessly.
Bronze controls Betlach momentarily but Betlach frees himself.
Bronze will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bronze keeping moving, preventing Betlach from controlling successfully.

Betlach passes Bronze's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bronze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Betlach is working away from the top position though.

Bronze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bronze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Betlach manages to avoid it.
Betlach moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Bronze takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Betlach moves out of range of the body kick.
Betlach stalks Bronze and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bronze's face. Bronze staggers backwards, shaken.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Betlach.
Some bone on bone action there as Betlach checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bronze bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Betlach's head.
Bronze really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Vevrin Betlach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bronze has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Betlach finds it's way round the side to connect with Bronze's head.

Bronze swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Betlach dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bronze. That did some damage!

Betlach connects with a leg kick. Bronze looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Betlach does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Betlach has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bronze.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Betlach's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Betlach duly obliges.

Bronze has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bronze misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bronze drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Betlach gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bronze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bronze lands a right hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bronze wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bronze got a little sloppy there for a moment and Betlach has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bronze has managed to get both his arms back between Betlach's legs - danger averted.

Bronze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Betlach swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Bronze counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

This has been an exciting period of action!

A close third round but Vevrin Betlach just about did enough to take it.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Betlach bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Betlach.

Betlach tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bronze swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Betlach has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bronze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Betlach is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Bronze thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Betlach lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Bronze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bronze wants it to stay on the feet.

Vevrin Betlach is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Betlach throws a jab but it's blocked by Bronze.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mr Bronze.
I think Betlach has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
