PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artem Gric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Beringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artem Gric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hans Beringer!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beringer connects with the punch.
Beringer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gric manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gric throws out a loose jab but Beringer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gric throws a lazy right hand but Beringer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gric darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nice body kick from Beringer.
Gric throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gric misses with the combination.
Gric loads up on a big right hand but Beringer slips the punch.
Beringer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gric swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gric takes a kick to the side of the head.
Beringer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gric throws a right hand that Beringer ducks under and follows up with a left that Beringer also avoids with ease.
Gric throws a nice looking combination but Beringer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Beringer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Beringer tries to close the distance and clinch but Gric swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gric feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Beringers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
