Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Landa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Currie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landa comes to the cage accompanied by Ich tu dir weh - Rammstein. Currie has chosen Helmet - Just Another Victim as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Landa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

25 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Currie!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landa misses with a body kick.
Currie pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Currie with a nice cross.
Currie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A clash of legs there as Landa blocks the low kick.
Landa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Landa slips under a jab.
Currie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Currie scores with a decent looking hook.
Landa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Currie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Landa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Currie - the referee stops the clock and Landa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Currie. Landa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Currie looks to throw the jab but Landa is out of range.
Currie throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Currie bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Currie misses the jab.
Landa wants to clinch up but Currie keeps it at a distance.
Hans Landa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Currie moves out of range of the body kick.
Currie throws a combination. Landa tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Landa throws a hook to the side of Currie's head but Currie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Landa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Currie, pushing him back against the cage.
Currie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Landa smiles and moves away.

and Landa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
David Currie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Landa throws a nice inside leg kick.
Currie lands a head shot.
Nice takedown defense from Landa. No joy for Currie on that attempt.
Hans Landa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Currie.

Currie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Currie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Currie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Landa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Currie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Landa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Currie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Currie keeping moving, preventing Landa from controlling successfully.

A close round but David Currie will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Landa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Landa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Currie.

Some bone on bone action there as Currie checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Currie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Landa but Landa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hans Landa will probably get the nod.

Currie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Landa's waist but Landa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Currie off to one side.

Landa wants to slow Currie down by chopping away at his legs.
Currie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Landa throws out the jab.
Currie catches Landa with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Currie shoots for a double leg takedown but Landa sprawls well. He's pushed Currie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Landa keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Currie is stalling here. Landa is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Currie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Landa has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
