The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Penn lands with a right hand.
Good leg kick by Penn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Penn misses with an uppercut. Ouelet saw that one coming.
Ouelet blocks a jab.
Penn missing with a left hand there. Ouelet was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ouelet drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A telegraphed right hand from Penn misses the target.
Ouelet looks to clinch
and Penn counters with a left to the body.
Penn looks to land a right hand but Ouelet moved out of range.
Penn shoots for a takedown but Ouelet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ouelet on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Penn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Penn is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Ouelet is in big trouble! Penn is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Ouelet. Poor guy.
