Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricard Cuenca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricard Cuenca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hulk Hogan! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cuenca's waist but Cuenca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hogan off to one side. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cuenca rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hogan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hogan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hogan fails to land the takedown. Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cuenca tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cuenca to the ground. Cuenca escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ricard Cuenca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hulk Hogan. Cuenca scores with a nice head shot. Cuenca scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like Hulk Hogan has been cut. Hogan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cuenca is fending him off so far but Hogan persists. Nope, Cuenca circles away and we're back to standing. Hogan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. This has been an exciting period of action! Cuenca managing to control the position. Hogan won't allow Cuenca to sweep him here. Hogan passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cuenca! Cuenca manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Cuenca is defending against the submission attempts here by Hogan.
Hogan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Cuenca still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Cuenca has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Hogan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Cuenca stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hogan to get to his feet. Cuenca pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan shoots in but Cuenca avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hogan fails to land the takedown. Hogan shoots in for a takedown but Cuenca shows good takedown defense. Cuenca moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cuenca clinches up with Hogan and pushes him back against the cage. Cuenca lands a knee to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cuenca prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hogan goes for a takedown attempt but Cuenca pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cuenca pushes Hogan away with a front kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A slapping leg kick lands for Cuenca.
Cuenca lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hogan with a lazy takedown attempt and Cuenca counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Hogan is rocked! Cuenca throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Hogan is still on wobbly legs! Can Cuenca finish him? Cuenca feints and then cracks Hogan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hogan down. Cuenca throws a powerful right kick. Hogan tried to block low but the kick was high! Hogan was taken right off of his feet! Cuenca jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ricard Cuenca! Our winner, Ricard Cuenca, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
