Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Moorer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Hobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dudley Moorer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitchell Hobson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moorer throws a big shot that misses. Moorer fails to land with a series of punches.
Moorer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moorer tries to clinch up. Moorer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Moorer misses with a body shot.
Moorer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hobson. Moorer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hobson! Hobson struggling a bit here. Moorer throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Moorer cracks Hobson with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hobson is trying to control Moorer's posture but Moorer avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hobson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Hobson moves into range and clinches up with Moorer. Hobson leaning his opponent against the cage. Hobson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moorer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Moorer misses with the combination.
Moorer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Moorer stops Hobson from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hobson tries to roll over but Moorer keeps him under control. Hobson is pressing down on Moorer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Moorer prevents Hobson from getting back to his feet. Moorer throws a big right hand that misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hobson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moorer. Moorer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hobson dives on top into guard. Moorer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hobson trying to move into half guard but instead Moorer has managed to sweep!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moorer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hobson is keeping the position for now. Hobson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Hobson jumps guard but Moorer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hobson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Moorer after a bit of a struggle. Dudley Moorer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitchell Hobson. Hobson lands a good knee to the midsection. Moorer won't want to take too many of those. Hobson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hobson preventing the sweep. Moorer is working hard here to advance position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Hobson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Hobson controlling from the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mitchell Hobson. Hobson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moorer. Moorer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Moorer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moorer wants it to stay on the feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moorer misses with a two punch combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moorer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hobson.

and Hobson counters with a left to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mitchell Hobson will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Moorer cracks Hobson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Moorer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hobson is looking to clinch but Moorer is avoiding it.
Moorer misses with a lunging right hand
and Hobson counters with a three punch combo that has Moorer backing up. Moorer nods at Hobson to acknowledge the strikes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Moorer. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hobson. Hobson shoots in looking for a takedown. Moorer tries to sprawl out of it but Hobson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moorer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Moorer takes a shot right to the bread basket. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hobson fails in his attempt to clinch. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Moorer!

and Hobson counters by clinching up. Moorer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Moorer throws a knee to the head but misses.
A frustrated look appears on Moorer's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hobson goes for a takedown attempt but Moorer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Moorer tests Hobson's chin there with a solid looking shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moorer is defended easily by Hobson. The fighters circling - Moorer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moorer fails with a takedown attempt. Hobson clinches. Hobson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hobson fails with a takedown attempt. Hobson forces Moorer back against the cage and clinches. Moorer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hobson has him pressed against the cage. Moorer is trying to push Hobson away but Hobson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hobson is struggling to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Hobson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Moorer catches Hobson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Moorer doesn't seem bothered though. Moorer misses the shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Moorer. Hobson does a little dance to reset his feet. Moorer throws a jab when Hobson was well out of range. Hobson instigates a clinch. Hobson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hobson is looking to clinch. Hobson blocks a jab. Moorer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hobson is fending him off so far but Moorer persists. Nope, Hobson circles away and we're back to standing. Excellent takedown into side control there by Moorer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hobson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Moorer is controlling him well. Moorer working the head and body with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hobson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hobson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moorer sees it coming and defends easily. Moorer is refusing to be controlled, as Hobson sits in half guard. Mitchell Hobson has got the better of the ground game so far. Moorer is trying to maintain the position but Hobson is very close to passing his half guard. Hobson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Moorer looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hobson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitchell Hobson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Moorer throws a hook but Hobson blocks it. Moorer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hobson has a takedown stuffed. A combination from Hobson does no damage. Hobson tries to clinch there but Moorer circles away.
Hobson closes the distance and clinches. Hobson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hobson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A swing and a miss from Moorer. Moorer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Moorer misses with a few strikes there.
Moorer fails in his attempt to clinch. Moorer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moorer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hobson tries to control but Moorer manages to take his back. Moorer not allowing Hobson to control his hands. Hobson turns into Moorer and is now in his guard.
Hobson wants to stand and escape but instead Moorer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Moorer trying to control but Hobson is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hobson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hobson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moorer defends well. Dudley Moorer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moorer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hobson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Moorer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Moorer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Moorer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hobson dives on top into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hobson stands and steps away. Moorer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Moorer keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A cross from Moorer lands. Dudley Moorer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hobson shoots in and drives through. Moorer sprawls well. Moorer throws a right and a left that both miss. Hobson darts in and clinches Moorer up against the cage. Moorer prevents the takedown attempt.

Hobson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Moorer doesn't seem bothered though. Hobson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moorer's waist but Moorer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hobson off to one side. Hobson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hobson wants to clinch up but Moorer keeps it at a distance. Moorer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hobson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hobson regains half guard, as Moorer was trying to land strikes. Moorer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hobson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moorer is trying to control the action in half guard but Hobson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hobson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Moorer throws a strike but Hobson avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Moorer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hobson on the ground. Moorer wants to stand and escape but instead Hobson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Moorer keeping full guard, as Hobson tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moorer keeping moving, preventing Hobson from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dudley Moorer. Well Hobson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mitchell Hobson! A very excited looking Mitchell Hobson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
