Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yang Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dakota Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Japanese National Anthem. Yang Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yang Lee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dakota Weston!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weston is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee is looking to clinch.
Weston fails with an attempt to clinch.
Weston throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.
Weston misses with a series of wild punches.
Weston blocks the body kick.
Weston connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lee momentarily.
Some wild striking there from Weston.
Lee throws a series of punches but Weston moves out of range.
Weston misses with a body shot.
Weston fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lee connects with an inside leg kick.
Weston sizes up Lee with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Weston looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Weston closes the distance and pushes Lee back into the cage.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Weston is looking to clinch.
Weston misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Lee is looking to clinch.

Weston throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lee was covering up waiting for the punch and Weston finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lee pulls Weston in to control the position.
Weston stops Lee from standing up.
Weston loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Weston engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Weston throws a big elbow that misses.
Weston trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lee's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Weston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Weston with a flurry of punches that miss.

Lee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Weston off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Lee is looking to clinch but Weston is avoiding it.
A combination from Weston does no damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A big left from Weston misses.
Lee throws a body punch but Weston moves out of range.
Dakota Weston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weston shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Yang Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dakota Weston.
Weston showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lee.

Lee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Weston trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Weston is looking to stand up but Lee won't let him.

Lee wants to stand up but Weston is controlling him.
Weston wants to get up but he can't break Lee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weston is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Weston trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Weston wants to stand and escape but instead Lee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Weston is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dakota Weston dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lee lands an overhand right.
Weston swinging wildly here.
Weston fails to land with a series of punches.
Lee misses with a head kick.
Lee misses with a body kick.
Weston scores with a punch to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weston misses with a two punch combination.
Weston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Weston changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Weston manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lee pushes Weston up against the cage in a clinch.
Weston is breathing heavily.
Lee lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Weston is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lee scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Weston doesn't seem bothered though.

Lee has Weston up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee wants a takedown but no success here.
Lee scores with a hook to the body.
Lee lands a nice knee to the body.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yang Lee is winning the standup battle so far.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lee.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Weston is just out of range.
Lee tries to clinch there but Weston circles away.

Weston will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Weston swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee tries to clinch up but Weston circles away and keeps his distance.

Lee is looking to clinch but Weston is avoiding it.

and Lee counters with a solid body kick.
Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee leaves Weston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lee lands a left hand that snaps the head of Weston backwards.
Lee has Weston pressed against the cage, preventing Weston from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Weston lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively.

Lee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Weston sprawls well initially but Lee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Weston fails in his attempt to clinch.

Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Weston, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yang Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dakota Weston.

Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Weston tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside.
Weston throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lee counters with an outside leg kick.
Yang Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee lands a leg kick that knocks Weston off balance momentarily.

Lee lands a big head kick that sends Weston tumbling to the mat! Lee takes a step backwards and waves Weston back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Weston is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Weston gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.
Weston is still on wobbly legs! Can Lee finish him?

Lee breaks from the clinch.

Lee moves into range and clinches up with Weston.
Lee scores with a shoulder strike.

Weston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Weston leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Weston finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Lee's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Weston falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yang Lee!
Yang Lee is the new light heavyweight champion!
Yang Lee very nearly forgot to thank Formula 51 and 10% laundary amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
