The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savea misses with a two punch combination.
Boyka is looking to clinch.
Boyka tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Savea counters with a right hand to the body.
Boyka takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Boyka wants to clinch up but Savea keeps it at a distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Savea!

It looks like Juri Boyka has been cut.
Savea circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savea misses with the combination.
Savea throws a quick inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Savea lands a jab to Boyka's midsection.
Savea throws a right and a left that both miss.
Savea throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boyka moves in looking to clinch but Savea pushes him off.
Boyka tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Savea to counter with a crisp jab.

Savea clinches up against the cage.

Savea pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Savea takes the fight into the clinch.
Boyka prevents Savea from breaking the clinch.
Savea avoiding damage as Boyka throws knees to the body.

Savea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boyka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Savea counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boyka thinking.

Savea throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Boyka crashing down! Boyka tries to stagger back to his feet but Savea just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Boyka asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
